Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are back channeling their inner dimwits to film "Dumb and Dumber To", and both funnymen have generously shared first pictures from the set in Atlanta. "We're back!!!" the former captions one of the photos.
The actors are seen in costumes as demented duo Lloyd and Harry. Carrey sports the familiar bowl-cut hairdo and chipped front tooth, while Daniels has his hair mussed up. They are grinning next to each other with trailers parked on the background.
In the other picture, the twosome poses for the camera while holding Carrey's book. "How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and H...," Carrey writes to cross-promote his first children's book.
At the press room of the Primetime Emmy Awards where he recently won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on HBO's "The Newsroom", Daniels said Lloyd and Harry were older but none the wiser, "We're middle aged but still that stupid."
The buddies will set out on another adventure after receiving a letter from their former flame saying that one of them is the father of her child, and that the kid needs a kidney transplant. "The Walking Dead" star Laurie Holden will play the wife of a wealthy doctor who is up to no good and plans to set them up to cover her tracks.
Of what to expect from the sequel to 1994's cult classic "Dumb and Dumber", Daniels furthermore dished on, "There are some things we are going to do in Dumb and Dumber 2 that make the toilet scene [in the first movie] look lame...pales in comparison."
One of the cult fans of the buddy comedy is actor Chris Pratt. He couldn't hide his excitement to see more Lloyd and Harry's silliness, tweeting, "I know every word to the original. My very favorite comedy. Can. Not. Wait!!!"
He added later, "Sorry dudes. my account got hacked BY A DUMB AND DUMBER OBSESSED SUPER FAN!!!! AND THAT SUPER FAN IS ME!!!!!!!!! #DumbTo."
