Report: Saoirse Ronan to Star in 'Star Wars Episode 7'
Movie

Along with Ronan's casting rumor, it's reported that Benedict Cumberbatch will appear in all three forthcoming 'Star Wars' movies.

AceShowbiz - "Hanna" actress Saoirse Ronan is rumored to join the much-awaited "Star Wars Episode 7". According to Latino Review, the nineteen-year-old Oscar-nominated star has gone in for a reading for an unknown role in the first installment of J.J. Abrams' new planned trilogy.

The publication also insists Benedict Cumberbatch will indeed star in the movie despite his previous denial. Noting that the actor had previously fooled fans by denying his casting as Khan in "Star Trek Into Darkness", the tab went on to claim that he had signed on for all three upcoming "Star Wars" films.

"Star Wars Episode 7" is due in summer 2015. "Star Wars Episode 8" will follow in 2017 and "Star Wars Episode 9" is out next in 2019. Spin-off movies that focus on the "origin stories" are set to be released between the entries.

If the Cumberbatch casting rumor is true, the "Episode 7" is expected to be an introductory platform for his role which most likely becomes bigger later in "Episode 8" and "Episode 9".

Not much else is known about the highly-anticipated "Episode 7". Filming will reportedly take place in the City of Crosses, Las Cruces, in Mexico as well as Los Angeles and London. Rumor has it, there will be a female villain in the story.

Ronan got her Academy Award nod for her impressive role in 2007's drama war film "Atonement". She was last seen in "The Host (2013)" and "Byzantium" both released early this year, and will next appear in "How I Live Now" due later this fall.

Cumberbatch also has been quite busy this year. Aside from "Star Trek Into Darkness", he also stars in "12 Years a Slave", "The Fifth Estate", "August: Osage County" and "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" all set for this year's release.
