The stars of the hit MTV reality TV series sent out messages to the site that served as their second home

AceShowbiz - After being ravaged by Hurricane Sandy almost a year ago, the Jersey Shore boardwalk suffered another devastating tragedy on Thursday, September 12, when a massive fire engulfed the popular tourist attraction. Starting at a Seaside Park ice cream parlor, the fire broke out around 3 P.M. and grew to destroy 8 blocks of about 50 businesses.

"Jersey Shore" cast members quickly took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the latest disaster to hit the famous boardwalk, which served as the filming location of their hit MTV reality TV show. Snooki captured the essence of what had happened by summarizing it with the words "can't catch a break," for the site underwent another catastrophe just after being rebuilt from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy as if it had an "unlucky" streak.

DJ Pauly D, Sammi Sweetheart a.k.a. Sammi Giancola and JWoww sent out thoughts and prayers to their "second home" and to everyone at Seaside Park, from the residents, the volunteers and the more than 400 firefighters who came to help put the blaze under control. Deena Nicole Cortese was still in disbelief over the misfortune that had happened, tweeting, "so sad ..so many memories."

Perhaps no one was more distraught than Gov. Chris Christie himself who told reporters, "I said to my staff, I feel like I want to throw up, and that's me. After all the effort and time and resources that we've put in to help the folks in Seaside Park and Seaside Heights rebuild. To see this going on...is just unthinkable."
