AceShowbiz - Drake debuts his new single, "Wu-Tang Forever", only two weeks before his "Nothing Was the Same" album arrives. The Canadian MC's new single pays tribute to Wu-Tang Clan, the New York hip-hop group, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of its debut album this year.
Produced by Noah "40" Shebib, "Wu-Tang Forever" is a melodic dark track that is covered with piano sounds and soft rapid-fire drums. The cut also samples "It's Yourz", a 1997 classic by Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon. "Yeah, this s**t belong to nobody/ It's yours," Drake sings.
"Wu-Tang Forever" can be found in Drake's new album, which is scheduled to hit the stores on September 24. The track can be downloaded for free for users who pre-order the follow-up to 2011's "Take Care" on iTunes.
Drake recently unveiled the tracklist of the album. In addition to featuring hit single "Started From the Bottom" and Majid Jordan-assited song "Hold On, We're Going Home", the 15-track album includes Drake's collaborations with Jay-Z, Jhene Aiko, Detail, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.
