Anton Corbijn will direct 'Life', about the friendship between the style icon and Life Magazine photographer Dennis Stock.

AceShowbiz - Anton Corbijn has found the leading men for his upcoming directing gig, "Life". Screen Daily learns that "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson and rising star Dane DeHaan will team up in the tale of James Dean's friendship with a Life Magazine photographer named Dennis Stock during a road trip in 1955.

"Metallica Through the Never" actor DeHaan is tapped to be the style icon and the Edward Cullen depicter will play the shutterbug. "Finding the right actor to play James Dean was a big responsibility, but Dane's body of work has proved what a chameleon he is and what he will contribute to the role," say producers Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.

"Casting Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan brings together two of the most exciting young actors of their generation," the two, who will produce under See-Saw Films banner, add. Corbijn will direct from a script by Luke Davies. The production is slated to begin in February 2014 on location in Canada.

"We were fortunate to work with Anton on 'A Most Wanted Man' and are thrilled to be a part of his next film," says Glen Basner, the CEO of FilmNation that handles the international sales.

"His incredible talent combined with the chemistry between Dane and Robert will bring to life the fascinating story of the fast friendship formed at a very pivotal time in Dean's life."
