The 'Behind the Candelabra' actor wears his wedding ring while promoting his movie at the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - Michael Douglas seemingly hopes for reconciliation with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. The 68-year-old actor was pictured still wearing his wedding ring despite being confirmed to have lived separately from the actress.

The "Haywire" star flashed his ring Friday, August 30 at the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival. He was at the event to promote Liberace biopic "Behind the Candelabra", in which he starred alongside Matt Damon.

A representative previously confirmed, "Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage." Rumor has it, the stress between his throat cancer battle and her struggles with bipolar II disorder "has taken a toll on their marriage."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones married in 2000. They have two children, Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10. The pair hasn't been pictured together since April when they posed on the red carpet at the 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala at Avery Fisher Hall in New York.

He reportedly moved out of their Bedford mansion in New York 18 months ago and, at one point, stayed in a converted barn on a pal's property a few miles away. He is now believed to live in their Central Park West residence in Manhattan, while she stays at their home in Bedford.

Neither has filed for divorce or moved toward a legal separation.
