Lovato will play Santana's love interest and original cast members such as Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., Mark Salling and Jayma Mays will return for the Cory Monteith tribute episode.

AceShowbiz - Naya Rivera recently dished on Demi Lovato's guest-starring appearance on "Glee" season 5. Speaking to MTV News on the red carpet of the VMAs, she revealed that the former Disney darling would play Santana's new love interest.

"I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that," she said. "We get to sing a song together. It's gonna be good. I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side. Well, she comes in in a Beatles episode, so [we're singing] a Beatles song. I'm excited."

Lovato's character, Dani, has been described as a NYC-based struggling artist friend of Rachel and Santana's. She reportedly will interact with Adam Lambert's character and sing "Here Comes the Sun" with Santana.

As for the Cory Monteith memorial episode scheduled to air October 10, Rivera said, "We've been shooting it. It's horrible. So many, so many [memories]. He was an amazing guy and I definitely miss him."

According to E! News, some original cast members and past guest stars will return for the tribute episode. They include Amber Riley (Mercedes), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang), Mark Salling (Puck), Jayma Mays (Emma), Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Bieste), Mike O'Malley (Burt Hummel - Kurt's father) and Romy Rosemont (Carole Hudson-Hummel - Finn's mother). Sources say Lea Michele's Rachel won't appear in the third episode titled "The Quarterback" until the final act, where she sings.

In the meantime, to tide fans over the September 26 return of "Glee", FOX has just debuted a new promo for the show's season 5, giving first look at new footage. In the video, Darren Criss teases about The Beatles tribute, Blaine and Kurt's relationship, as well as Sue's evil demeanor towards the glee club.
