The Marty Deeks depicter calls his wife Sarah Wright 'powerful' after fighting for 17 hours to deliver the couple's baby boy Wyatt Oliver.
Actor Eric Christian Olsen and his actress wife Sarah Wright are proud parents to a baby boy. The couple's first child was born on Friday, August 16 at 7:45 P.M. Baby Wyatt Oliver arrived weighing in at 9 lbs. 8 oz.
"I've been a part of some pretty incredible experiences in my life, but I've never been a part of something so surreal, so life affirming and so insanely beautiful as watching my son come into this world," Eric told PEOPLE. "It was this watershed moment where I knew that everything I valued before seems finite and temporary."
"Sarah wanted to do a natural birth at home and she fought through 17 hours of intense labor before we finally got to meet Wyatt," the actor, who plays Detective Marty Deeks on CBS' series "NCIS: Los Angeles", said of the delivery. He went on gushing over his wife and their first child, saying, "I can only take stock in how lucky I am to have this amazing, powerful, woman in my life, and a beautiful new son."
Eric met Sarah for the first time in 2006. They tied the knot last year in front of 80 family members and friends in an outdoor ceremony at their family ranch near Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
