Detective Olivia Benson is on the brink of losing her life as her kidnapper points a gun right at her face.
When "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" returns with its 15th season, Mariska Hargitay's character is pushed to the point where she has never been seen before. Picking things up right where the last season left off, a promo for the upcoming installment of the police procedural series sees Detective Olivia Benson's life at stake.
"I want to live," Olivia, who is apparently tied up, tells serial rapist William "Burnt Fingertips" Lewis who has kept her hostage. With the clock ticking, the team must find the safe house where Lewis takes Olivia to before it's too late.
"Law & Order: SVU" season 15 premieres Wednesday, September 25 at 9 P.M. on NBC. The long-running series will tackle the Trayvon Martin shooting, combining it with Paula Deen racist claim issue in an episode.
"[Jeffrey] Tambor is a defense attorney representing a very high-profile celebrity woman chef who thought she was being pursued by a rapist and turned around it was a teenager. And she shot him," executive producer Warren Leight revealed the plotline. Cybill Shephard will play the celebrity chef, while Leslie Odom Jr. is cast as a minister of the slain child.
