The 'Rizzoli and Isles' actor will be remembered by family, friends and fans on the set of his TNT show at the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood.
Family, friends and colleagues of Lee Thompson Young are expected to pay their final respect to the recently-deceased actor this Friday, August 23 at 11 A.M. E! News reports a memorial is planned to take place at the Paramount Pictures lot where his show "Rizzoli & Isles" is filmed.
In lieu of flowers, family is asking friends and fans to make a donation to the Young Storytellers Foundation, an organization which helps expose underprivileged children to the arts.
Young was found dead Monday with a self inflicted gunshot wound. The former Disney star was 29. His manager confirmed that he took his own life.
"Everyone at [the show] is devastated by the news of the passing of Lee Thompson Young," said "Rizzoli" executive producer Janet Tamaro. "We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of this sweet, gentle, good-hearted, intelligent man."
"He was truly a member of our family. Lee will be cherished and remembered by all who knew and loved him, both on- and offscreen, for his positive energy, infectious smile and soulful grace. We send our deepest condolences and thoughts to his family, to his friends and, most especially, to his beloved mother."
