The 'Step Up 3-D' leading lady admits she is now seeking roles that are 'super, super physical.'
Sharni Vinson reveals her own desire to tackle a heroic role. In a promotional interview for her upcoming thriller "You're Next" with Flicks and the City, the Aussie beauty admits that she is looking forward to any opportunity to portray tough characters that require her to be "super, super physical."
"The more you can put me in training and the more I can actually do on a set, the better for me," Vinson says. "When it comes to physical roles, I just thrive on that and something like the Lara Croft series would just be amazing because it's the same type of female empowerment that we're trying to get across and I think is just a stand-up role model for all women out there."
"If I could be the one that can portray that and hopefully kickstart that off again in this generation, that would be amazing," she adds. Besides wanting to reboot "Tomb Raider", the Natalie depicter in Jon M. Chu's "Step Up 3-D" says that Elektra is another favorite female hero she wishes to be able to portray.
"Give me Elektra, something cool. I have fun coming on to sets, it's kind of like dress up ... When it comes to those types of superhero movies, it would be fun to come in and put on, like, the red lycra red catsuit," admits the 30-year-old, who is said to be back dating Kellan Lutz. "So somebody, give me the chance to do it."
