'Now You See Me' Sequel to Storm Theaters in 2014

Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco

It is not yet announced whether original cast members including Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher and more return for their next magic trick.

"Now You See Me" officially gets a sequel treatment. During a call with financial analysts Friday morning, August 9, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced that a follow-up to the summer sleeper hit started being developed at the studio in hopes of following the success of the first film when released in 2014.

The Louis Leterrier-directed movie about magician heist, which cost $75 million to produce, has grossed $115.5 million domestically since its Memorial Day weekend debut and $117.6 million internationally. Feltheimer expects it will earn a total of $275 million as soon as it opens in China, Australia and Japan.

No scribe has been tapped to work on the script. As of now, there is no indication that original actors, including Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson and Mark Ruffalo, will reprise their roles in the next chapter.

Penned by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt, "Now You See Me" follows a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money. Awarded an A- CinemaScore, the flick surprisingly outperformed Will Smith's "After Earth" at the North American box office in its first week run.

Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman co-starred in the flick.
