The 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' actress gave birth to her baby No. 2 in Madrid on the same day Kate Middleton delivered the royal baby.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are now proud parents of two. She gave birth to her second child with her actor husband on Monday, July 22, the same day Duke of Cambridge Prince William and his Duchess Kate Middleton welcomed their baby boy.
Penelope, who confirmed her second pregnancy in February, delivered a baby girl at Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid, a representative confirms to Vogue. No other details are available at the moment. The baby joins big brother Leonardo Encinas Bardem, 2 years old.
The couple's second child is not the only newborn in the Cruz family. Penelope's actress sister Monica Cruz also just welcomed a daughter of her own in Madrid. When Monica went into labor, her then-heavily pregnant sister Penelope was by her side to give support.
Monica, 36, announced her pregnancy back in January. She decided to be a single mother by turning into an anonymous sperm donor out of fear that it would "too late for motherhood" by the time she found her perfect partner.
In 2011 while Penelope was pregnant with her first child, Monica stepped in as Penelope's double for long distance scenes in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides".
