A representative for Levine says that the Maroon 5 vocalist and his girlfriend are engaged to get married after the singer proposed to her in Los Angeles.
Adam Levine is engaged to his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo. A representative for "The Voice" coach confirmed the engagement in a statement to PEOPLE.
"Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married. The couple recently reunited and Adam proposed this weekend in Los Angeles," the representative said.
The Maroon 5 frontman and the Namibian model stepped out as a couple in May 2012. In July the same year, the couple was seen holding hands as they reportedly returned to their hotel room after eating at Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York.
Levine and Prinsloo experienced turbulence in their relationship and broke up earlier this year before they reconciled for good. Following the split from the 24-year-old model, Levine was spotted cozying up to Sports Illustrated model, Nina Agdal.
Agdal reportedly was seen visiting Levine on the set of "The Voice" in May. A few days later, she attended a taping in Los Angeles. "Her hair was up in a bun and she wore a low-cut, white sleeveless top and dark jeans. She was watching the show on a monitor with others backstage," an eyewitness told Us Weekly.
Levine, who was romantically linked to several models, dished on his love life in Details magazine in 2012. He said, "There's two kinds of men: There are men who are f**king misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they're the most amazing people in the world. And that's me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much."
