Meet Agent Leo Fitz and Agent Jemma Simmons in a new featurette for "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". The latest promo video for the new ABC series introduces viewers to the two brilliant but socially awkward scientists, who are among the recruits Agent Phil Coulson gathers for his team.
"They have a brother-sister relationship," says the Simmons depicter, Elizabeth Henstridge, of the two agents. "They're just so enthusiastic about everything! They're very proud to be part of the team."
Iain De Caestecker, who plays Fitz, chimes in, "They've kind of got their own language, which puts them in their own world aside from everyone else." Their appearances will add up to the comedy on the action, drama show as previewed in the promo video.
On "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.
The team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); Agent Leo Fitz, an engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), a genius bio-chemist. They'll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).
The Joss Whedon-developed series will air every Tuesday at 8 P.M. ET starting this fall on ABC. The premiere date is yet to be announced.
