The 'Cory in the House' star does not have cancer and is not dying from cancer contrary to speculation.

AceShowbiz - "That's So Raven" cast member Kyle Massey became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter over the weekend after unfounded rumors circulated that the 21-year-old actor and rapper was terminally ill with cancer. Although he has had family members who died from the life-threatening illness, Massey's camp says the reports are completely false.

"Kyle Massey is not dying from cancer and does not have cancer," said the spokesperson for the "Dancing with the Stars" runner-up. Massey's rep says the artist is totally fine but is "upset that someone would make light of such a serious subject" especially since "he has been affected personally from the disease," given his family's history with cancer.

The former Disney star himself came out with a lengthy statement to address the situation, calling the speculations "inconsiderate and insensitive." Saying "this hoax is just plain classless!" Massey and his team will try to trace the origin of the rumors which are considered to be very hurtful around this time of "Glee" star Cory Monteith's death and the verdict announcement over slain teenager Trayvon Martin's shooting death.

"Cancer is a disease that is very personal to me and my family. I have had 2 uncles and a very dear friend who passed away in the last two years from cancer and my Granddad currently has prostate cancer," Massey revealed in his statement. "So, making light of any illnesses that a person has no control over getting is not something to joke about or make light of!"
