The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer and her BFF join the festivities with pre-recorded performances of their latest hits from outside New York.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift was outside New York City on Thursday night, July 4, but through the power of technology, the country-pop superstar was able to join Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. The "Red" artist pre-recorded a rendition of her break-up anthem "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" straight from the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas for her performance on the fireworks show.
Doing somewhat of a move like that of Mariah Carey who did three songs that night, Swift dropped another crowd-pleaser via a duet with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The unlikely pair sang their collaboration track "Everything Has Changed".
Swift's BFF, Selena Gomez, also pulled off the same stunt as her superstar friend for her spot at the annual event by pre-taping her performance of her chart-topping single "Come & Get It" and "Slow Down" even doing three repetitions to make sure she shows off her best on the show. To match the occasion, the Disney-bred star wore a sexy red bustier with a white high-low skirt.
Other top acts celebrating Independence Day at the Liberty State Park that night were Miami pop rapper Pitbull who performed "Give Me Everything", ageless diva Cher who sang her new song "Woman's World", country music superstar Tim McGraw who delivered "Something Like That" and Mariah Carey who entertained the crowd with "America the Beautiful", "Hero" and "#Beautiful".
