The latest pic from the Santa Monica Pier set of the Rob Thomas flick features Marino and leading lady Kristen Bell.
Ken Marino has started filming "Veronica Mars" movie, and a first look at the returning actor as none-other-than the antagonistic Vinnie Van Lowe on the Santa Monica Pier set of the flick has been unveiled by Entertainment Weekly. The "Wanderlust" actor is seen in casual outfit, with Kristen Bell featured rocking a black leather jacket.
Kicking off its production in June, the Kickstarter-funded film will stage an introduction to a new character that will be tackled by Marino's co-star on "Party Down". "Martin Starr has joined the cast of 'Veronica Mars' in the new role of Lou 'Cobb' Cobbler, another 09'er returning for the ten-year reunion," director/writer Rob Thomas announced.
Besides Marino and Bell, other original stars set to return include Krysten Ritter (Gia Goodman), Tina Majorino (Cindy 'Mac' Mackenzie), Chris Lowell (Stosh 'Piz' Piznarski), Jason Dohring (Logan Echolls) and Max Greenfield (Leo D'Amato), who made the announcement during a live interview with Gold Derby.
"I'm really excited about it. It's one of those few occasions where you're going to work on something and I think I'm going there for a day, where you're working on something everybody is so excited to be there," Greenfield told Gold Derby editor Daniel Montgomery.
As of now, no release date for the feature version of the UPN/CW series has been set yet.
