The 'Les Miserables' actor's Twitter account was used by a hacker to post a photo of a woman's pubic region.
"Man of Steel" star Russell Crowe, known for making regular tweets on varied subjects ranging from dining spots to UFOs, is in the headlines for a shocking Twitter post of a woman's naked photo, more specifically a stock image of a woman's pubic region. But the 49-year-old actor denies posting the image and points to a Twitter hacker as the culprit.
"Hey, I don't know what that was. Just having a chat with Dani when the phone went ballistic. Sorry, gone," the New Zealand-born artist wrote on Tuesday, July 2 just after deleting the said photo. Dani is his wife Danielle Spencer whom Crowe has reportedly been having marital problems with since late last year.
Crowe and Spencer, along with their sons, eight-year-old Charles and six-year-old Tennyson, are currently enjoying a vacation in Los Angeles, which included a family dinner with friends last week at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. Although "never affectionate," a source said the couple sat "next to each other and seemed to get along well," "talking to their kids and being attentive."
Rumors of their nine-year marriage coming to an end came after Crowe was romantically linked to Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia. Crowe however says his problems with his wife were actually caused by his very busy career, tweeting back in December, "As soon as I finish this job and can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together. These latest reports are false and cruel."
