Farrah Abraham Checks Into Rehab for Alcohol Abuse

The 'Backdoor Teen Mom' star enters an outpatient program and will start her intensive counseling Monday, July 1.

AceShowbiz - Farrah Abraham is going to rehab to deal with her problem with alcohol. The "Teen Mom"-turned-porn star a.k.a "Backdoor Teen Mom" star has entered an outpatient program at The Lukens Institute in Palm Beach Gardens late Sunday night, June 30 and will undergo intensive counseling over the next 10 days at the Florida rehab facility beginning Monday.

"At this time in my life, I need to stay focused on the positive to get through all of the negative that a DUI has caused in my life," the mother of four-year-old Sophie issues a statement to Radar Online. "I'm 22 and I want to make better choices and ensure I can recognize when I am putting myself in a bad situation next time."

The former MTV reality star was popped for DUI last March after blowing a .147, nearly twice the legal blood alcohol limit of .08. She was sentenced to six months of probation after pleading guilty to the offense. She passed a court-mandated alcohol education class that came with the probation sentence, but her attitude reportedly set her back.

The director of the program she attended said in her reports that she "had difficulty making eye contact, was standoffish and was sarcastic when answering the questions asked of her." 60 hours of intensive outpatient treatment, followed by 12 months of after care was recommended in her case.

While she's on the road to sober up, her daughter will be placed under the care of her father, Mike.
