The Toronto rapper and his buddies take shots from his Grammy trophy for Best Rap Album 'Take Care' to be featured in the promo video.
After announcing the September 17 arrival of his forthcoming third studio album "Nothing Was the Same" along with the release of four new singles, Canadian rapper Drake dropped a trailer for his new album. It heavily features his latest album "Take Care". More accurately, he uses the Grammy trophy he received for Best Rap Album for the said LP.
The five-minute trailer begins with the 26-year-old rap superstar, who appeared to be at his home playing pool with a bunch of his pals, when he gets a brown cardboard box package. As he opens it to discover that it was his Grammy trophy, he proceeds to pick up his drink contained in a Styrofoam cup and pours some of it into the gramophone, taking shots out of it and makes his friends do the same too.
"That's crazy man," Drake says repeatedly, as he stares at the trophy he was holding which he said was going to be displayed in his mom's house, as he wiped the trophy dry and even took a photo of it right on the billiard table. After everyone has drunk from the trophy, only then did the Young Money Entertainment artist realize that his dream had finally come true.
"It's so weird, you know? You say you're going to do something, and then it actually happened, and then like, it happens again and it happens again and you just wonder, 'Does it run out? What is it? Is the power of being young? Is it desire, is it hunger?' " Drake said, reflecting on his success. Turns out getting a Grammy, just like the house he was in, was all part of his vision, as he revealed, "I always said I'd get one of these and I got it, man."
