The guard took matters into his own hands when he thought the RHCP frontman was a random fan of the hotel's guest, The Rolling Stones.
Anthony Kiedis was caught on camera getting involved in a physical fight with a security guard outside the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia. The Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman clashed with the guard when he and a female companion were blocked from entering the building.
Turned out it was a case of mistaken identity. The guard, not recognizing the RHCP lead singer, mistook the rocker as a random fan of The Rolling Stones as the Mick Jagger-fronted band happened to be in the hotel. Police broke up the fight before it got more serious.
Onlookers called out that he was a RCHP member. In a video obtained by TMZ, Kiedis shook hands with the guard and he was allowed to go into the building after the feud was settled.
Kiedis later says in a statement, "I love the Rolling Stones," without mentioning the fight.
