John Mayer has announced the release date of his new album, "Paradise Valley". Mayer is currently still in the studio to finish the follow-up to 2012's "Born and Raised", but he has confirmed the new album will be available on August 13.
Mayer also unveils the cover art of the highly-anticipated album. The artwork sees the 35-year-old singer dressing up like a cowboy and standing in front of what may be the scenery of the area he's been living on, Western Montana.
"Paradise Valley" is Mayer's sixth studio album. The singer has debuted "Paper Doll", the lead track of the album. Mayer allegedly addresses his former relationship with Taylor Swift in the song.
Last year, Mayer took a break from music after undergoing a surgery to remove a granuloma.on his vocal chord. The surgery kept him silenced for months. He made a comeback early this year and confirmed that his new music was on the way last May.
Mayer will also kick off his first tour in three years on July 6. Along with "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, Mayer will be performing in several cities in North America, Europe and South America.
