According to a spokesman for Los Angeles city attorney, Garlin will not face charges after he allegedly smashed a car's window with his bare hand following a parking spot altercation.

AceShowbiz - Jeff Garlin has escaped vandalism felony charge following his arrest on Saturday, June 15. According to Associated Press (via Yahoo), the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star will have to attend a hearing at the Los Angeles city attorney where he will receive a lecture about law and advice on how he can avoid such incident, instead.

Frank Mateljan, a spokesperson for Los Angeles city attorney, said on Monday that Garlin's alleged accusation did not reach the threshold for a criminal filing. "We examined the facts and determined an office hearing is most appropriate in this circumstance," Mateljan explained. He added that the owner of the damaged car could file a lawsuit against Garlin in civil court for damages.

The 51-year-old actor was taken into custody in Studio City, California on Saturday after he allegedly smashed a Mercedes' driver side window with his bare hand during an altercation over a parking spot. He was arrested on felony vandalism, but he got released later after posting $200,000 bail.

Garlin is known for his role as Larry David's manager, Jeff Greene, on HBO's series "Curb Your Enthusiasm". In addition to his role as a co-star, he serves as the show's co-executive producer. Other than the HBO series, Garlin has appeared on "Arrested Development" as well.

He will make an appearance on ABC's upcoming series "The Goldbergs" as Murray Goldberg. The series is set during 1980s and it will follow the life of Goldberg family, which consists of Murray, his wife Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) and their three children.
