Austin Mahone released a music video for "What About Love" on Monday, June 10. The Colin Tilley-directed clip sees the 17-year-old Texas singer dancing energetically with a group of people, chasing after a girl and rocking different colors of tank tops, beanies and caps.
In a recent interview, Mahone talked about working on the music video with Tilley. "It was really cool. I got to work with Colin Tilley. He's one of my favorite directors. We started at six in the morning and went to 12 at night, so it was an all-day shoot," Mahone said.
On the same day Mahone debuted the music video, he also appeared on various shows to promote his new single. He performed the song on "Today" before joining "Live From MTV" which was streamed via MTV.com later that day.
Mahone found fame after his debut song, "11:11", went viral on YouTube. He is currently working on his debut album, which is scheduled to be released this fall. Earlier this year, the pop singer, who is often called "the next Justin Bieber," was chosen to join Taylor Swift on her "Red" tour.
"I was speechless. My manager called me. They are like, 'We originally wanted to get a song with you and Taylor,' but Taylor's manager was like, 'Forget the song, let's go on tour,' " Mahone told MTV of the moment he figured out that he would join Swift's tour. "And I was like, 'Why not?' I'd rather go on tour than do a song. You know, a song might come out of that."
