Celebrities walked on the red carpet of 2013 Tony Awards, which was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, in stunning attire. Scarlett Johansson, Anna Kendrick and Debra Messing were some stars who snatched people's attention for their chic style at the Sunday, June 9 event.
Johansson opted for a simple black dress designed by Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent. The actress, who took part in Broadway's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" earlier this year, created a sexy look by applying dark red lipstick. Her straight blonde hair hung loose on her shoulders. She combined the dress with simple earrings, a pair of black heels and a clutch bag. The "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" actress was set to present an award at the show.
While Johansson had a sexy look with her red lipstick, Kendrick chose the opposite. Opting for a more natural-look, the "Up in the Air" actress looked elegant in a Donna Karan Atelier dress. She styled her hair in a sweep do and applied a light pink lipstick. The actress, who brought her brother as her date at the event, wore Christian Louboutin shoes and held an Edie Parker clutch bag.
"Basically as long as I have my fancy hair, my big brother cannot put me in a headlock. #TONYs," she wrote in a Twitter post. Kendrick would present Best Featured Actress in a Musical award in which she was nominated for "High Society!" in 1998.
Messing, who walked on the red carpet in support to boyfriend Will Chase, looked gorgeous in a knee-length black dress by Matthew Christian. The 44-year-old actress donned her hair in a bun and chose a nude-colored lipstick for the Sunday event. She also wore jewelery from Fred Leighton, Brian Atwood shoes, and holds a Judith Leiber bag. Chase, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", looked dapper in a tuxedo and a black bow tie.
Other celebrities who attended the show were Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. Hanks was nominated for Leading Actor in a play with his work, "Lucky Guy". Neil Patrick Harris hit the red carpet with his partner David Burtka at the annual event. The multi-talented actor would be hosting the show for the fourth time.
