Lifetime teases the return of "Drop Dead Diva" with the first promo for the fifth season. After Jane's wedding was ruined when Owen caught her kissing Grayson, her fiance is now missing.

Meanwhile, a new guardian angel arrives and he often wanders around shirtless, baring his abs much to the girls' delight. Another hilarious moment is shared in a scene which features someone dressing in drag in court.

"Drop Dead Diva" season 5 will premiere Tuesday, June 23 at 9/8c on Lifetime. "90210" alum Justin Deeley is added to the cast as Jane's new guardian angel, Paul.

Series creator Josh Berman recently said that the show's "vocal and strong" fan base was the one which help resurrect the show, after Lifetime initially decided not to renew it in January.

As for what to expect in the new installment, he dished, "Jane is now fully content who she is as a human being but she made a huge mistake at the end of season four when she kissed Grayson in front of Owen. I think that sets up the conflict and the spine for season five. Jane is infallible and she has to live with the consequences of her actions."

Additionally, with Kim being pregnant, Berman claimed, "There are so many good stories that it took four season to get my characters to a place where I can write the stories I want to tell for season five. I will say the thirteen episodes of season five already have a beautifully shaped arc that are going to leave the fans wanting more."

There is so much excitement for this season, I guess because it was UNcancelled :D Can't wait to see what the writers and creator has in store for the fans. This show has followers from the onset. First Fred (Ben Feldman) leaves and now Parker (Josh Stamberg)is written off - big let downs. Hope it's made up to us in a good way LOL No matter what, I love this show. Drop Dead Diva rules, its characters and story lines are well worth following.
