Neighbors of Swift's Rhode Island mansion are reportedly upset because they are not able to go to the public beach comfortably due to the singer's tight security.
Taylor Swift allegedly makes her Watch Hill, Rhode Island neighbors angry because they cannot access public beach near her mansion comfortably. "Now that summer has come and people are getting ready to use the beach, people are really grumbling about having Taylor in town," a source told Radar Online.
"Her property line is at the path to the public beach and she always has guards patrolling the area. It's making it such a hassle," the source explained. The area around Swift's mansion is also surfers' favorite place for years. However, "her guards are always asking them to leave," the source said.
The precaution from Swift's security team is understandable because a man was recently caught after swimming to her house in attempt to see her. The frustrated source said, "If she wanted privacy, she shouldn't have bought a house overlooking a public beach!"
Some people who live around the area took to Twitter to talk about the limited access to the beach. "Hey @taylorswift13 Tell your guards to stop harassing people who have hung out on the beach wall for years," Matthew Brown wrote. An upset Miranda Hall tweeted, "Doesn't Taylor swift have a tour to be on instead of invading my town and taking away my beach."
A Twitter user who goes as Dean M. Felicetti wrote, "Hey @taylorswift13 thanks for trying to buy our Watch Hill beach access path!! Sincerely, your angry neighbors." Another user said, "So, Taylor Swift owns the Wall on East Beach now, Eh? Hope she knows seniors are graduating soon. #intoxicatedteenagers."
