AceShowbiz - Rihanna keeps proving how great her music is. In addition to many awards for her works, her latest studio album, "Unapologetic", has officially gone platinum as Nielsen SoundScan reports the album has sold another 9,000 copies this week, making a total of more than 1 million.

"Unapologetic" is not Rihanna's first album which went platinum. From her seven studio releases, six of them sold a million. Her 2005 debut album "Music of the Sun" went gold with 607,000 copies sold. So far, Rihanna's biggest selling album is her 2007's "Good Girl Gone Bad" with 2.8 million.

In its 27th week on the Billboard 200 chart, the singer's latest album is selling faster than her previous one, "Talk That Talk". The 2011 album needed several additional weeks to reach 1 million.

"Unapologetic" became Rihanna's first album that sat on No. 1 at Billboard's chart. It was released last November and up until now, four singles off the album successfully made it to Billboard Hot 100. The singles include "Diamonds", "Pour It Up", "Loveeeeeee Song" featuring Future, and "Stay" featuring Mikky Ekko.

Her next single expected to fill the spot at the chart is "Right Now". Rihanna unveiled the cover for the DJ David Guetta-assisted single yesterday, May 29.
