Bumblebee Goes Vintage for 'Transformers 4'

The yellow Autobot will get a 1967 Camaro as its new vehicle form in the upcoming action film directed by Michael Bay and headlined by Mark Wahlberg.

AceShowbiz - Bumblebee is the next Autobot that gets a total makeover. Just yesterday Michael Bay unveiled the new look of Autobots' leader Optimus Prime on his website, and now Paramount Pictures shows off a new design for the yellow robot. Set to be the new vehicle form of Bumblebee in "Transformers 4" is a vintage 1967 Camaro.

So far, there have been four teaser images of Autobots previewed to fans. Optimus Prime's look gets upgraded with a custom-built Western Star truck that is set to replace a Peterbilt Model-379 featured in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". Lining up next are a 1,200-horsepower Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse and a C7 Corvette Stingray for unspecified Autobots.

The upcoming action-packed film from scribe Ehren Kruger will be led by the franchise's new star Mark Wahlberg and villainized by Kelsey Grammer. It will take place four years after the events in "Dark of the Moon" and is said to be darker than its predecessors.

Stanley Tucci, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller are added to the cast for supporting roles.

Partly filming in China, "Transformers 4" is set to hit theaters nationwide on June 27, 2014.
