Racing-Addicted Snails Join Forces in International Trailer for 'Turbo'
Movie

Garden snail Turbo is connected with Whiplash and his racing crew as they all share the same interest in new trailer for Dreamworks' animated film starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.

AceShowbiz - Turbo is not the only snail with an impossible dream of being a racer. A new trailer for director David Soren's "Turbo" via MSN UK introduces a group of snails who apparently has similar interest with the titular character. The video gives a brief look at Whiplash, the racing crew leader, as well as Skidmark, Burn, Smoove Move and boastful White Shadow.

The video opens with a glimpse of dull and miserable life of garden snails that Turbo has to deal with everyday. How the yellow-skinned snail, voiced by Ryan Reynolds, can end up possessing the power of incredible speed is also teased in the video, which is an international trailer for Dreamworks' animated pic.

The upcoming flick follows Turbo, a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world, just like his hero, 5-time Indianapolis 500 champ, Guy Gagne. His obsession with speed and all things fast has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community, and a constant embarrassment to his careful older brother, Chet.

Surprisingly, Turbo's wish to leave a slow-paced life is granted after he miraculously finds himself vested with the power of incredible speed. Since then, he has set out to reach his impossible dream, winning the Indy 500.

Samuel L. Jackson takes on the role of Whiplash. Playing his crew members are Snoop Dogg (Smoove Move), Richard Jenkins (White Shadow), Ben Schwartz (Skidmark) and Maya Rudolph (Burn).

The animated film is set to be released in the United States on July 17.
