Katrina Bowden, the actress who played Cerie on NBC's "30 Rock", is married to her fiance of one and a half year, Ben Jorgensen. The couple exchanged vows in front of 127 friends and family members on Sunday, May 19, at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York City.
Us Weekly reported that the bride walked down the aisle to Aerosmith's song "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" which Ben picked. She donned her hair in an "up and kind of messy, kind of like a chignon" style and wore a "simple" and "very pretty" wedding dress. Ben also made a slide/video presentation to show during rehearsal.
Katrina told the site about getting married to the former guitarist of New Jersey band Armor for Sleep, "I think when you meet the right person, you just know that you want to be with them forever." She added, "I mean, I wouldn't have gotten married if I was 17 or 18, but we knew each other so long ago, and I loved him then, and then I loved him even more. It felt so right. I've never felt that way with somebody."
Ben proposed to the 24-year-old actress before 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The "Scary Movie 5" actress told E! News that she was so surprised when Ben popped the question that she forgot to answer yes. Katrina and Ben later planned their wedding themselves. The excited couple, however, admitted that planning wedding was "crazy."
Thankfully, finding the dress was so much easier for Katrina. "It was one of the first dresses I tried on," she told PEOPLE earlier this year. "I had seen it and I thought, 'I love that dress.' I tried on a few others, just to try some on. But once I tried on the dress that I got, it was a no-brainer," she shared her story.
The newlyweds are said to fly to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They have set a website so that friends and family can contribute to the couple's beautiful memories together. "We are very excited to plan our dream honeymoon together- and can't wait to make our perfect honeymoon dream a reality! This gift registry is very exciting because it allows you to contribute directly to making our honeymoon the best it can possibly be," they wrote on the site.
