The 'Fantastic Four' actor and the former 'Vampire Diaries' actress will welcome their second child in September this year.
Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans' are expecting their second child. A representative for "The Vampire Diaries" actress confirmed to E! News, saying, "Yes it's true! They are due in September and are thrilled and blessed to welcome their long awaited addition to the family!"
Gruffudd and Evans met on the set of "102 Dalmatians" in 2000. They tied the knot in September 2007 in Mexico. In September 2009, Evans gave birth to baby Ella Betsi Janet after a 40-hour labor.
Back in 2012, the 39-year-actor actor shared his feelings about becoming a dad. "It's very exciting. I love it. I can't get over what great company they can be," he gushed and later joked that having one child in his house kept him busy already. He said, "[Ella]'s very, very strong. She's like her mother. I've got my work cut out for me at home."
Gruffudd is best known for playing Mr. Fantastic in "Fantastic Four" and "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, where he appeared alongside Jessica Alba and Chris Evans. He recently landed a role on USA's "Necessary Roughness", while his wife, who played Esther on CW's "The Vampire Diaries", was last seen on the small screen on an episode of "Grimm".
