Hollywood celebrities bring in their best punk looks to the Punk: Chaos to Couture 2013 Met Gala in New York City.

AceShowbiz - Celebrities flocked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on Monday, May 6 for the 2013 Costume Institute Gala. Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj became belle of the ball as they graced the red carpet at the Punk: Chaos to Couture 2013 Met Gala with their immaculate looks.

Queen Bey looked regal in a strapless Givenchy haute couture gown that consisted of a black bodice and a black-and-gold skirt with a train and a thigh-high slit. The mother of one finished off her look with a black belt and matching gloves that ended above her elbows. She slipped into a pair of gold knee-high shoes.

J.Lo brought animal print to the event. Arriving with her dancer beau Casper Smart who wore an all-black ensemble, she showed off her curves in a slinky, sequined leopard-esque Michael Kors gown and made up her lack of punk look with a sculptural fauxhawk updo. She accessorized herself with Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and a Rona Pfeiffer ring.

Nicki flaunted some skin in a sleeveless navy-blue Tommy Hilfiger gown that had its side cutouts. The "American Idol" judge might not adhere to the dress code, but she managed to channel her inner punk lady with her blonde afro grunge-punk that matched her gold clutch and necklace and slapped on a deep-red lipstick to complete her look.

Kirsten Dunst opted for a hunter green Louis Vuitton gown with a plunging neckline and fringe feathering on the skirt. Carey Mulligan stayed true to the evening's theme with her black Balenciaga dress that had a big safety pin accent. Cameron Diaz rocked a blue Stella McCartney gown with spike belt for added punk effect.

Kerry Washington chose a Vera Wang sleeveless V-neck lavender floral print gown with silk and lace details that she completed with leather gloves. Ginnifer Goodwin focused her punk look on her heavy eye makeup and defined brows, that worked well with her shimmering Tory Burch gown with leather trim.

Dakota Fanning went with a sheer-paneled geometric gown by Rodarte. Solange Knowles looked lovely in leg-baring patterned dress by Kenzo that she paired with a matching box clutch and big earrings. Gwyneth Paltrow interpreted the evening's punk look with a pink Valentino gown that had a vertical sheer panel.

Nina Dobrev looked fierce in a Monique Lhuillier corseted, black lace pantsuit accented with a black leather halter and tulle overskirt. Nicole Richie rocked white from head to toe. She rocked a Topshop high-neck long sleeve fully embroidered column gown, a white Mohawk do, dark-colored nail polish and deep-red lips.
