Palmer, Sidora and Mama play Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes respectively in the upcoming TV movie about the R'n'B/hip-hop/pop group.
VH1 has unveiled the first look at its upcoming biopic "Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story" via pictures. The photos show the cast, Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora and Lil' Mama, as Rozonda Thomas (Chilli), Tionne Watkins (T-Boz) and the late Lisa Lopes (Left Eye) respectively.
The TV movie chronicles the R&B trio's rise during the '90s, from humble beginnings in Atlanta to worldwide fame and fortune to Lopes's death in 2002. Evan Ross is cast as Dallas Austin, Donny Boaz portrays TLC's manager Bill Diggins, Carl Anthony Payne II plays L.A. Reid, and Rochelle Aytes stars as Perri 'Pebbles' Reid.
Charles Stone III directs the telepic with a screenplay provided by Kate Lanier. The two surviving members of the group, Chilli and T-Boz, serve as consultants and executive producers on the biopic.
"Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story" is set to premiere toward the end of the year. The biopic is just one of the projects that Chilli and T-Boz have been working on as they recently announced plans to record new music and go on a reunion tour.
