Anthony Ciccone, the pop star's homeless brother, requires nine stitches after confronting a police officer who tries to arrest him on an outstanding trespassing warrant.

AceShowbiz - Madonna's estranged and homeless brother, Anthony Ciccone, was injured after fighting a female officer when he refused to leave a public bathroom at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center, Michigan, on Sunday, April 21, Record Eagle reported. Ciccone, whose blood-alcohol level was five times the legal limit, was then brought to a hospital and received nine stitches on his forehead.

"[Ciccone] pulled away, turned around and confronted the female officer in an aggressive manner," Traverse City Police Capt. Brian Heffner told the paper. "[The female officer] turned him around and brought him to the ground, which is when he struck his face on the bathroom floor."

Police said that an officer tried to arrest Ciccone on an outstanding warrant for trespassing which stemmed from an incident in a bookstore back in March. At that time, Ciccone made himself comfortable in front of a fireplace at Horizon Books and refused to leave.

Ciccone is currently held without bond in the Grand Traverse County Jail and charged with assault and obstructing police.

Ciccone is the older brother of Madonna. Last month, he slammed his sister for leaving him living homeless. He claimed he had a hard time and his family turned back on him. "You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times -why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I'm homeless on the street?" he said of why he and Madonna lived differently despite being siblings. "Never say never. This could happen to anybody."
