The static ends with the Kryptonian general saying, 'To Kal-El, I say this. Surrender within 24 hours, or watch this world suffer the consequences.'
General Zod has a message for people on Earth. In a viral video of "Man of Steel", the villain demands in a static-y voice that Kal-El aka the mighty Superman surrenders himself within 24 hours or the Earth occupants will suffer dire consequences.
"My name is General Zod. For some time your world has sheltered one of my citizens. I request that you return this individual to my custody," the Kryptonian general says. "To Kal-El, I say this. Surrender within 24 hours, or watch this world suffer the consequences."
In the movie, Henry Cavill will portray the superhero and Michael Shannon will be Zod. Following the release of the viral video, a new site created as part of the movie promo starts the countdown. No word on what happens once the time is up, but a trailer is expected to be unveiled soon.
Amy Adams is Lois Lane, Diane Lane will play Martha Kent, Kevin Costner is cast as Jonathan Kent, while Russell Crowe is tapped as the biological father of Superman, Jor-El. Directed by Zack Snyder with Christopher Nolan as one of the producers, it's set to be released in the United States on June 14.
