Also on the show, Emma Watson is presented with the Trailblazer award, and Will Ferrell accepts the Comedic Genius award which is handed out by Peter Dinklage.
More winners have been announced at the 22nd Annual MTV Movie Awards. After taking the first award for Best Male Performer, Bradley Cooper once again took the stage to accept Best Kiss trophy he shared with Jennifer Lawrence, saying "she was great to kiss." The Academy Award-winning actress, unfortunately, wasn't present at the show.
Earlier at the show, Emma Watson, who was also nominated for the Best Kiss along with "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" co-star Logan Lerman, was honored with the Trailblazer award. Eddie Redmayne introduced a montage of Watson's scenes in her movies, Lerman gave a testimony about working with her, and Jonah Hill jokingly announced that he and Watson would star in "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaptation.
Looking charming in a black-and-white dress, Watson was emotional when accepting the Golden Popcorn. "I look back at the work I've done over the last 14 years and many things come to mind. Most importantly how bad my hair was in the first 'Harry Potter' film," she said while holding back tears.
"You have supported me in all of my awkwardness and allowed me to grow into the kind of actress and kind of person I want to be," she added. "I was the eager beaver in school, the first to put her hand up which is often not cool and I was teased mercilessly but I have learned if you put your heart into something amazing things will happen. I promise to keep making the best work I can for all of you."
Also getting a special award was Will Ferrell. "Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage presented the Comedic Genius award to the "Anchorman" actor, falling to his knees as the comedian took the stage.
The show host, Rebel Wilson, was later announced as the Breakthrough Performance winner for her role in "Pitch Perfect", edging out other contenders including Ezra Miller, Eddie Redmayne, Suraj Sharma and Quvenzhane Wallis. Staying true to her comedy root, she said she acts to win awards and make money.
Wilson also said it would've been nicer if Zac Efron would take off his shirt and kissed her. The hunky actor, who was presenting with Seth Rogen and Danny McBride, gave her a kiss but didn't take off his shirt.
Taylor Lautner was another winner at the show, winning Best Shirtless Performance for his scene in "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II". Instead of showing off his abs, he took the stage wearing a fat suit and managed to make a few quips as he said turning 21 has led to him drinking and eating a little too much. "But in all seriousness," he added, "for us shirtless actors out there, this is like the Oscar."
The 2013 MTV Movie Awards is still ongoing at the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, California. The show airs live on MTV.
