"The Voice" season 4 has come to the final night of its blind auditions. The judges completed their teams of 12, scoring one talent each in the latest episode which aired Tuesday, April 9.
Blake Shelton was the first one who rounded up his team. He scored Jaqui Sandell who revealed she was a ballet dancer before going punk with her band. Her rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" prompted Blake and Usher to turn their chairs, but she chose the country music singer as her mentor.
Pleased with his country-gal heavy team, Blake was left cringing when a self-described county artist, Amber Carrington, showed her hefty pipe with her performance of "Good Girl". Adam Levine pushed his button and he won Amber without contest to round up his team. Blake hoped Adam would drop her in the battle rounds so he could steal her.
Shakira was next to complete her team after battling it out with Usher for Luke Edgemon, who covered Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me". The singing hopeful with pop and R&B background eventually went with the Colombian songstress who hit the button first. Her team might have the most diverse members with country singer Tawnya Reynolds, R&B falsetto guy Kris Thomas and Latina trio Cathia, Mary Miranda and Monique Abbadie.
Shortly aftewards, when Jessica Childress came up to sing "Marry Me", all three other judges urged Usher to push the button. He eventually welcomed her to his team, marking the end of the blind auditions.
Next week, "The Voice" will return with the first part of the battle rounds. Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Sheryl Crow, Pharrell Williams, and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte will join as guest mentors.
