The first red band trailer for "This Is the End" has landed online via Machinima. The two-minute video follows six guys who discover the true meaning of friendship in the aftermath of a global apocalypse.
A massive star-studded party held at James Franco's house turns into a mess after cataclysmic events devastate the area. Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson are the remaining people that survive the cataclysm. Trapped inside the house with dwindling supplies, the boys have no other choice but to cooperate and eventually find true friendship.
The preview also gives a look at the brief appearances of public figures. Attending the party hosted by Franco are Mindy Kaling, Aziz Ansari, Kevin Hart, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Michael Cera can also be seen getting skewered by a large piece of metal, while Rihanna falls into a pit in the earth. Emma Watson is featured shouting, "I'm not f**king around," and smashing Rogen with an axe handle.
"This Is the End" is based on "Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse", a short film created by Rogen and Baruchel in 2007. The film, which is directed and penned by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, will hit U.S. theaters on June 12.
