In addition to the sitcom 'Dads' from 'Ted' writers, the network picks up three drama and four comedy pilots.

FOX has handed out a straight-to-series order to sitcom "Dads" from "Ted" writers Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The network has ordered six episodes of the live-action comedy without ordering the pilot first reportedly after only reading the script.

The multicamera project focuses on two successful guys in their 30s who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads unexpectedly move in with them. Sulkin and Wild, who will write and executive produce the new show, have been working on MacFarlane-created show "Family Guy" since 2005.

Almost at the same time, FOX gave pilot orders to four comedies: Bill Lawrence's "I Suck at Girls" adaptation, Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer's "To My Assistant", Andrew Gurland & Justin Hurwitz's "House Rules", and David Rosen's "Friends and Family". Also being picked up by the network are dramas "The List" from Ruben Fleischer, Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci's "Sleepy Hollow", and Karyn Usher's "Delirium".
