Starring as the Colonel and Kick-Ass respectively, Carrey and Johnson are clad in their full getups as they stand next to a hot dog booth.
"Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall" has finally unveiled its first official still. Debuted on the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, the image shows Jim Carrey and Aaron Johnson clad in their superhero getups.
Portraying Colonel Stars, Carrey is featured rocking the character's signature military attire complete with an eye mask. He is accompanied by his trustee guard dog Sophia. Johnson, meanwhile, is clad in the titular character's green attire.
Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010's "Kick-Ass". After Kick-Ass' insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Carrey), the hero joins them on patrol.
When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)-reborn as The Mother F%&*^r, only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloe Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.
Also joining the sequel are Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy, Olga Kurkulina as Mother Russia, and Andy Nyman as The Tumor. The film will be released in the U.S. on June 28, 2013.
