AceShowbiz - After his recent performance in "The X Factor" U.K., singer-songwriter and record producer Bruno Mars appears again on the popular TV program, this time in its American counterpart "The X Factor (US)", to perform his latest hit "Locked Out of Heaven". The track comes from the Hawaiian superstar's sophomore album "Unorthodox Jukebox" and is now the No.1 single in the U.S.

This comes in the heels of Mars' recent nominations at the NAACP Image Awards for Music. "Locked Out of Heaven" is nominated for both Best Song and his clip for that track is vying for the Best Music Video award versus Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire", among others. Likewise, Mars is up for the Male Artist Award, facing off R'n'B superstar Usher.

Mars' appearance on "The X Factor" is part of the promotion for his "Unorthodox Jukebox" studio set, which opened to rave reviews. It is now a certified hit, with "Locked Out Of Heaven" already ranking No. 1 in the Billboard Hot 100 singles.

Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by a family of musicians, the popular singer moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his musical career. He first became recognized for his vocals on the hit "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B and "Billionaire" by Travis McCoy. He also writes and produces tracks for Flo Rida and Ke$ha. Mars is nominated in seven categories at the upcoming 53rd Grammy Awards.
