The Dwight of 'The Office' says his show is 'filth' and tells people not to watch it, while former 'Two and a Half Men' star Sheen gushes, 'It is radically clear to me that the show is cursed.'
Angus T. Jones' "Two and a Half Men" rant has inspired Rainn Wilson to make a parody video. Posted on his Facebook page, the spoof sees Wilson using the words "filth" and "enemy" to describe his own show, NBC's "The Office" which is currently in its final season.
"Dwight from 'The Office' is nothing, 'The Office' is nothing," the Dwight Schrute depicter says while his co-star Craig Robinson sits silently next to him, imitating Christopher Hudson's position in Jones' video. Wilson continues, "If you watch 'The Office', please don't watch 'The Office'. I'm on 'The Office', it's filth. And that filth will rot your brain."
Charlie Sheen, who was fired from "Men" in early 2011, has also reacted to Jones' shocking statement about the show. "With Angus' Hale-Bopp-like meltdown, it is radically clear to me that the show is cursed," he says.
In a video recorded for Christian group the Forerunner Chronicles, Jones urged people not to watch his show. "If you watch 'Two and a Half Men', please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men'. I'm on 'Two and a Half Men' and I don't want to be on it," he stated. "Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth."
His mother Carey was worried that her son was being "exploited by the church." A so-called insider later tells E! Online, "His mom is really worried and in contact with the producers of the show. The main concern is that he is going to give away all his money to the church. It's like he's been brainwashed. Everyone is shocked and very concerned."
However, Hudson who appeared on the video denies the claim. "I've only known Angus for a short period of time now, but the time that I got to spend with him in our conversation, the type of individual he is, this young man is very intelligent, pensive individual," the religious leader says.
"He is not the mirror of other men's thoughts. He is one that can think and do for himself and that impressed me because I didn't think I would see that in a young man in his position. Angus is speaking from his heart, his experience, his search and his understanding."
Neither CBS nor Warner Bros. TV has released any statement on Jones' shocking testimony. The young actor also remains mum after his "Men" bashing was made public.
UPDATE: Shortly after this article was published, Angus T. Jones apologized for his "Men" rant. "I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that," he said in a statement.
The Jake Harper depicter went on praising the show's cast and crew, "Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on 'Two and Half Men' with whom I have worked and over the past 10 years who have become an extension of my family."
