A clear on-set video of 'Thor: The Dark World' shows the Asgardian hero battling it out against the Dark Elves ruler during a filming in London.
A clear and close-up look at Thor's fight scene with Malekith the Accursed on the set of "Thor: The Dark World" has gone online. Courtesy of Splash News Online, the on-set video features quite a high-definition shot of costume-clad Chris Hemsworth as he films a battle scene in England against the supervillain played by Christopher Eccleston.
The Asgardian demigod and the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim ruler are seen battling it out in a city ruins. Using his trusty hammer Mjolnir, the God of Thunder attacks his archenemy who seemingly has no difficulty to fight back. At some point, the superhero is even seen getting pushed back by his enemy.
Eccleston was recently snapped on the set, getting clad in his Malekith costume along with a number of extras dressed in Dark Elves army. For the "Thor 2" movie, Malekith is described as having half-white and half-black face as well as long-pointed elf ears. His caped armor is dominated with black color and some metallic silver details on the chest, elbows and thighs.
Malekith, in the Marvel universe, is described as one of Thor's archenemies. The supervillain once wielded the Casket of Ancient Winters. Though having a vulnerability in iron, Malekith has the ability to manipulate various magic forces such as teleportation, energy projection, physical malleability and many others.
"Thor: The Dark World" will open Stateside on November 8, 2013. The film also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson and Jaimie Alexander.
