A man filed for a lawsuit against Brand, claiming he was injured as a result of the actor's erratic driving.

AceShowbiz - Russell Brand is named in a lawsuit which claimed the comic actor drove into a pedestrian. According to court documents filed by Victor Sneed, Brand drove "negligently" and struck him in Los Angeles in January.

Sneed is suing the "Hop" actor for over $25,000 in damages. The pedestrian claimed he suffered personal injury, property damage, lost of income and incurred hospital bills as a result of the accident. In the documents, which were obtained by TMZ, the state of Sneed's injuries were not disclosed.

Lindsay Lohan was also hit with a similar case recently when a pedestrian alleged he was hit by her car in Manhattan. A surveillance tape eventually won her freedom when it was found out that there was no evidence of her knocking the man out even slightly.

Brand has not made a comment on the lawsuit.

This is not the first legal case that Brand faces this year. Back in March, an arrest warrant was issued on him for smashing a photographer's iPhone in New Orleans. He turned himself in and was released on $5,000 bond on the same day. The actor's lawyer Robert Glass entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf but the judge offered an alternative to criminal prosecution by sentencing him with community service and telling him to pay fine.
