Playing an eccentric team-building coach, Van Damme causes some awkward moments during a 'wilderness seminar' in the jungle with Adam Brody.
Jean-Claude Van Damme acts like a primitive man in the clips for his new adventure comedy film "Welcome to the Jungle (2013)". Playing an eccentric team-building coach, Van Damme is seen getting shirtless a la tribal chief and talking crazy during a bonfire session with his team in one clip. In another, he is seen having an awkward bickering with Adam Brody soon after they first step their feet in the wilderness.
"Welcome to the Jungles" centers on Brody's Chris, a workplace weakling who doesn't have the balls to stand up to the slick office bully Phil (Rob Huebel). Phil steals all the ideas from Chris, who also doesn't have the guts to muster the courage to ask out cute HR manager Lisa (Megan Boone). Even Chris' only friend, Jared, a sarcastic slacker IT guy who secretly monitors everyone's porn intake, slams him for being a pussy.
However, when a team-building "wilderness seminar" goes horribly wrong, and unhinged ex-marine team-building coach Storm Rothchild (Van Damme) gets mauled by a cougar - Chris and his co-workers find themselves stranded on a deserted tropical island with no rescue in sight. In the jungle, someone's going to have to step up and take charge.
Phil quickly proclaims himself "God" of the island - but Chris has Boy Scout skills and would be far better suited to lead the group if he could overcome his fear of everything. Chris is challenged to finally man-up to Phil, release his inner-beast, get the group rescued and win the girl of his dreams.
The comedy movie is directed by Rob Meltzer with Jeff Kauffman penning the script. It still hasn't got a U.S. release date, but it expected to open sometime in 2013.
