Carrie's mission in Beirut goes wrong, while Brody refuses to get involved in Mike Faber's secret mission.
When "Homeland" returns next week, Carrie's peaceful life will be over as soon as she signs up to go under cover in Beirut. Against the advice of her family, Carrie becomes involved in an operation that may rid the world of Abu Nazir once and for all. However, when the plan backfires, her life is in danger and she begins questioning her instinct. For an unknown reason, she will later meet Brody.
Meanwhile, Mike Faber talks to Brody about something which is treated in complete secrecy, but the Congressman refuses to get involved in the plan that may cost the life of innocent people. At the same time, Brody's handler presses the Congressman into service causing his relationship with Jessica to take a hit.
Titled "Beirut Is Back", the new episode will also see Mike questioning the nature of the events surrounding the shooting of Elizabeth Gaines. It will air Sunday, October 7 at 10/9c on Showtime.
