Following the unauthorized release of pictures of Kate Middleton ditching her bikini top, photos of the Duchess of Cambridge without her bikini bottoms made their round on the web. The butt-naked images were from the same vacation where the topless pic was taken.
The new pictures were published on the latest printed edition of Danish tabloid Se Og Hor along with some other photos from the holiday. The publication didn't release them online, but it didn't take long before scanned versions of the images were circling the Internet.
One of the bottomless pictures, which was a grainy one, showed the wife of Prince William holding her bikini bottoms around her knees with one hand. She was bending down with a big blue towel on her body as her husband looked on and stood a few feet away in front of her.
"It's a set of unique photos from an A-class celebrity. We are a leading gossip magazine in Denmark, and it is my job to publish them," Se Og Hor's editor Kim Henningsen said. "If the British royal family want to sue us, then it will happen then and we'll deal with it."
Kate and William took legal action against French tabloid Closer, the first magazine publishing the topless pictures, and won an injunction to stop further publication in the country. Dublin-based Irish's Daily Star also released the photos despite the legal threat, leading its editor to get suspended.
The royal family, meanwhile, decided not to put up a legal fight against the publication of Prince Harry's naked photos, claiming it would only be a distraction for the prince. "We remain of the opinion that a hotel room is a private space where its occupants would have a reasonable expectation of privacy," a rep said.
