Voicing her support for the African American leader, the singer encouraged her concert audience to vote for him again in the upcoming election.
Madonna's support for Barack Obama came slightly off in terms of fact. Praising the reigning U.S. President during her concert in Washington D.C., the singer called him "a black Muslim in the White House."
During her water break, Madonna took time to address the past leaders such as Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr., saying "They killed him, as they do. ...It is so incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House. Those fine human beings did not die for nothing!"
She went on, "So y'all better vote for f**king Obama, okay? For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House, okay? Now that is some sh*t. That's some amazing sh*t. It means there is hope in this country. And Obama is fighting for gay rights, okay? So support the man, goddamnit!"
Obama is not a Muslim although his father was born a Muslim and was later an atheist.
